Description
The simple design of the Raunak dining chair combines a solid Acacia wood frame in a dark walnut finish, with a simple woven seat made from Munja grass for a comfortable understated look. Made by carefully weaving the strong fibres around a framework, this chair is created using traditional artisanal skills. Munja grass grows in abundance along India's riverbanks. It has traditionally been used to make ropes and baskets and is a durable natural material with rich eco-friendly credentials.

The Story of Nkuku
Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.
The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.
Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.
