Description

Our Obra Industrial Wine Rack provides stylish and solid storage for wine and other bottles. The dark iron frame is finished with a solid mango wood top and makes this a striking piece of furniture as well as a practical storage solution. These practical iron wine racks have a mango wood top and iron base. Choose from 2 sizes: Small, 12 bottles or Large, 28 bottles.

Our Stylist Says

I’m a fan of this iron-and-wood wine rack for its straightforward, industrial look and solid build - the black metal frame feels robust, while the mango-wood top adds just enough warmth. It works particularly well in loft-style kitchens, open-plan dining areas or any space that benefits from a touch of pared-back, functional style. For styling, keep your most attractive bottles at eye level and fill at least half the rack so it doesn’t look too bare. Use the wooden top as a mini bar station - a couple of crystal tumblers or a small potted herb make for an easy, everyday display. Positioned against a neutral or exposed-brick wall, it really comes into its own.

About Nkuku

Established in 2003, Nkuku offers ethically sourced, handcrafted, and eco-friendly homewares and furniture. Their pieces introduce an element of rustic elegance to your space, perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The Story of Nkuku

Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.

The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.

Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.

Values and Ethical Commitment

Nkuku is not just about selling products; it's about values. They are committed to an ethical approach, partnering with independent businesses, social projects, and cooperatives. Their focus? Building transparent, strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success.

They're also environmentally conscious, incorporating natural and recycled materials into their products. From golden hemp and reclaimed mango wood to textiles recycled from old t-shirts, Nkuku champions sustainability and eco-friendly production methods.

Sustainability at Its Heart

Every Nkuku product tells a tale, capturing the essence of traditional, handmade craftsmanship. By embracing low-impact production methods, they bring collections that are individually crafted, ensuring each piece is unique.

The brand cherishes the age-old knowledge passed down through generations of artisans. It's not just about home décor for them; it's about keeping a rich heritage alive and celebrating the beauty of handmade uniqueness.
