Description

Part of the Nirvi cabinet collection, this tall storage piece combines antique iron with warm mango wood for a bold, balanced look. Its slim profile makes it ideal for hallways or living areas, while the spacious interior offers practical storage for everything from linens to everyday essentials. The mix of natural wood grain and dark metal gives it a distinctive presence, perfect for adding character and function to your space.

Our Stylist Says

I love this tall cabinet for its clever mix of natural mango wood and sleek black iron, which makes it versatile for a variety of interiors. It works particularly well in boho, Scandinavian, or rustic schemes, where its organic feel adds warmth and texture. Practical styling tips include using the glass-fronted top section to display decorative items or crockery, while the internal storage can hide away less pretty essentials. Placing it against a neutral wall allows the wood tones to stand out, but it can also work as a statement piece in a more eclectic space. Its size makes it ideal for narrower walls or spares rooms needing both storage and visual interest.

About Nkuku

Established in 2003, Nkuku offers ethically sourced, handcrafted, and eco-friendly homewares and furniture. Their pieces introduce an element of rustic elegance to your space, perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The Story of Nkuku

Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.

The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.

Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.

Values and Ethical Commitment

Nkuku is not just about selling products; it's about values. They are committed to an ethical approach, partnering with independent businesses, social projects, and cooperatives. Their focus? Building transparent, strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success.

They're also environmentally conscious, incorporating natural and recycled materials into their products. From golden hemp and reclaimed mango wood to textiles recycled from old t-shirts, Nkuku champions sustainability and eco-friendly production methods.

Sustainability at Its Heart

Every Nkuku product tells a tale, capturing the essence of traditional, handmade craftsmanship. By embracing low-impact production methods, they bring collections that are individually crafted, ensuring each piece is unique.

The brand cherishes the age-old knowledge passed down through generations of artisans. It's not just about home décor for them; it's about keeping a rich heritage alive and celebrating the beauty of handmade uniqueness.
