Description

Equal measures of comfort and style join forces to create this timeless Narwana armchair. The ribbed stitching detail adds an attractive touch, while the warm, tanned hues of the leather make this a timeless classic. | nkuku Narwana Ribbed Leather Armchair | Seating | Aged Tan | 87 x 85 x 81 cm

Our Stylist Says

I’m a fan of this ribbed leather armchair for its warm, aged-tan patina and classic rolled arms - it brings both texture and timeless appeal. Its structured lines suit everything from industrial-style lofts to country cottages, and the caramel tone complements dark woods, muted greys or even bolder jewel-colours. For styling, tuck a cosy wool throw over one arm and position a slim metal-framed side table beside it to balance the leather’s weight. A low-pile rug in complementary hues will ground the look, while a single sculptural floor lamp or cluster of framed black-and-white prints will give your reading corner a curated finish.

About Nkuku

Established in 2003, Nkuku offers ethically sourced, handcrafted, and eco-friendly homewares and furniture. Their pieces introduce an element of rustic elegance to your space, perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The Story of Nkuku

Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.

The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.

Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.

Values and Ethical Commitment

Nkuku is not just about selling products; it's about values. They are committed to an ethical approach, partnering with independent businesses, social projects, and cooperatives. Their focus? Building transparent, strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success.

They're also environmentally conscious, incorporating natural and recycled materials into their products. From golden hemp and reclaimed mango wood to textiles recycled from old t-shirts, Nkuku champions sustainability and eco-friendly production methods.

Sustainability at Its Heart

Every Nkuku product tells a tale, capturing the essence of traditional, handmade craftsmanship. By embracing low-impact production methods, they bring collections that are individually crafted, ensuring each piece is unique.

The brand cherishes the age-old knowledge passed down through generations of artisans. It's not just about home décor for them; it's about keeping a rich heritage alive and celebrating the beauty of handmade uniqueness.
