Description

A natural extension of our Nadeeka Stripe collection, this counter chair pairs soft-grey linen upholstery with a warm mango wood frame for a refined, relaxed feel. The cushioned seat offers lasting comfort, while the elevated height, clean lines, and neutral palette make it a versatile choice for kitchen islands or breakfast bars.

Our Stylist Says

This Ndeeka linen chair offers a sleek, understated look that works well in both contemporary and rustic interiors. I love its soft grey upholstery, which adds a touch of subtle sophistication without overpowering the space. It’s a great choice for creating a cosy yet stylish dining area, especially if you’re layering textures or mixing materials-pair it with wooden or metal tables for an eclectic vibe. Practical styling tips include accessorising with matching or contrasting cushions to add comfort and visual interest, or grouping a set of these chairs around a larger table to maintain a balanced, relaxed aesthetic. Its neutral hue makes it versatile for various colour schemes, from earthy tones to softer pastels.

About Nkuku

Established in 2003, Nkuku offers ethically sourced, handcrafted, and eco-friendly homewares and furniture. Their pieces introduce an element of rustic elegance to your space, perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The Story of Nkuku

Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.

The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.

Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.

Values and Ethical Commitment

Nkuku is not just about selling products; it's about values. They are committed to an ethical approach, partnering with independent businesses, social projects, and cooperatives. Their focus? Building transparent, strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success.

They're also environmentally conscious, incorporating natural and recycled materials into their products. From golden hemp and reclaimed mango wood to textiles recycled from old t-shirts, Nkuku champions sustainability and eco-friendly production methods.

Sustainability at Its Heart

Every Nkuku product tells a tale, capturing the essence of traditional, handmade craftsmanship. By embracing low-impact production methods, they bring collections that are individually crafted, ensuring each piece is unique.

The brand cherishes the age-old knowledge passed down through generations of artisans. It's not just about home décor for them; it's about keeping a rich heritage alive and celebrating the beauty of handmade uniqueness.
