Description

This vase features a muted, natural palette in two soft tones, finished with a speckled reactive glaze that gives each piece a unique, subtly textured surface. Its understated, rustic design blends effortlessly into any interior style. Available in two sizes, it can be styled on its own or together for added depth and impact.

Our Stylist Says

I love this vase for its natural, earthy vibe and the way the reactive glaze creates subtle variations in tone, adding depth and texture. It works particularly well in boho, Scandinavian, or rustic interiors, where it can be styled with pampas grass, dried flowers, or simple foliage for a relaxed yet refined look. Practical styling tips include using it as a standalone statement piece on a console or side table, or grouping it with other natural textures to create an inviting display. Its neutral Olive/Natural palette pairs effortlessly with muted tones or contrasting colours, making it versatile enough to suit a variety of schemes.

About Nkuku

Established in 2003, Nkuku offers ethically sourced, handcrafted, and eco-friendly homewares and furniture. Their pieces introduce an element of rustic elegance to your space, perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The Story of Nkuku

Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.

The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.

Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.

Values and Ethical Commitment

Nkuku is not just about selling products; it's about values. They are committed to an ethical approach, partnering with independent businesses, social projects, and cooperatives. Their focus? Building transparent, strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success.

They're also environmentally conscious, incorporating natural and recycled materials into their products. From golden hemp and reclaimed mango wood to textiles recycled from old t-shirts, Nkuku champions sustainability and eco-friendly production methods.

Sustainability at Its Heart

Every Nkuku product tells a tale, capturing the essence of traditional, handmade craftsmanship. By embracing low-impact production methods, they bring collections that are individually crafted, ensuring each piece is unique.

The brand cherishes the age-old knowledge passed down through generations of artisans. It's not just about home décor for them; it's about keeping a rich heritage alive and celebrating the beauty of handmade uniqueness.
