Description

Add a touch of artistry to your walls with our beautiful Mauri frayed wall art, a simple yet impactful piece that brings warmth and character to your home. Mounted on cotton, its large size and woven texture make it eye-catching while the soft, woven design enhances its overall appeal. The neutral tones of this artwork seamlessly integrate into a variety of decor styles, making it a versatile choice for your living room, bedroom, or hallway.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Mauri Frayed Wall Art for its subtle texture and calming neutral tones, making it a versatile piece that works well in both contemporary and boho interiors. It's an excellent choice for creating a relaxed, layered look above a sofa or in a lounge space, especially when paired with earthy or linen accessories. For styling, consider balancing it with tactile textiles or natural materials like wood and woven baskets to enhance its organic feel. Since it’s neutral, it’s particularly effective in spaces where you want to introduce visual interest without overwhelming colour, and it can easily be paired with other art or wall hangings for a curated, laid-back aesthetic.

About Nkuku

Established in 2003, Nkuku offers ethically sourced, handcrafted, and eco-friendly homewares and furniture. Their pieces introduce an element of rustic elegance to your space, perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The Story of Nkuku

Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.

The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.

Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.

Values and Ethical Commitment

Nkuku is not just about selling products; it's about values. They are committed to an ethical approach, partnering with independent businesses, social projects, and cooperatives. Their focus? Building transparent, strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success.

They're also environmentally conscious, incorporating natural and recycled materials into their products. From golden hemp and reclaimed mango wood to textiles recycled from old t-shirts, Nkuku champions sustainability and eco-friendly production methods.

Sustainability at Its Heart

Every Nkuku product tells a tale, capturing the essence of traditional, handmade craftsmanship. By embracing low-impact production methods, they bring collections that are individually crafted, ensuring each piece is unique.

The brand cherishes the age-old knowledge passed down through generations of artisans. It's not just about home décor for them; it's about keeping a rich heritage alive and celebrating the beauty of handmade uniqueness.
