Description

The Nkuku Loko stool combines a beautifully crafted mango wood seat with a sturdy, round iron frame to create a comfortable and stylish stool. Ideal for kitchen islands or home bars, this stool is handmade in India using traditional techniques. The mango wood used to make Nkuku's wooden pieces come from mango trees that have stopped bearing fruit. This allows the farmers to plant more trees and provides them with a supplementary income. I’m a big fan of the Loko stool for its simple mix of warm mango wood and slim, rust-coloured metal legs. It sits neatly at a breakfast bar in industrial-style kitchens, but also works in Scandi or boho schemes where you want a touch of natural texture. For styling, try topping it with a small cushion or draping a lightweight throw over one leg to soften the look, or use it as an occasional side table beside a sofa to add extra surface space without crowding the room.
