Description

The striking antique finish of our Kunjari tealights gives them a beautiful rustic style. They-re crafted from recycled glass, which is washed before being melted down and shaped, using techniques that have stood the test of time. The warm metallic gold tones and textured glass complete the look and make these tealights an elegant addition to your mantlepiece, shelves or side table. Available in three sizes, they can be styled individually or as a group for an eye-catching display.

Our Stylist Says

I love this set of Kunjari tealight holders for their rustic gold finish and versatile size. They work beautifully in both modern and farmhouse-inspired interiors, adding a touch of warmth and interest without feeling too ornate. These holders are perfect for creating cosy ambient lighting when grouped together or styled individually on a sideboard, mantel, or even a centrepiece. To maximise their impact, consider pairing them with textured bowls, glass candlesticks, or natural elements like dried flowers or greenery. Their slightly weathered look means they complement both matte and shiny surfaces, making them ideal for layered styling in living rooms, dining areas, or even outdoor spaces during the evening.

About Nkuku

Established in 2003, Nkuku offers ethically sourced, handcrafted, and eco-friendly homewares and furniture. Their pieces introduce an element of rustic elegance to your space, perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The Story of Nkuku

Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.

The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.

Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.

Values and Ethical Commitment

Nkuku is not just about selling products; it's about values. They are committed to an ethical approach, partnering with independent businesses, social projects, and cooperatives. Their focus? Building transparent, strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success.

They're also environmentally conscious, incorporating natural and recycled materials into their products. From golden hemp and reclaimed mango wood to textiles recycled from old t-shirts, Nkuku champions sustainability and eco-friendly production methods.

Sustainability at Its Heart

Every Nkuku product tells a tale, capturing the essence of traditional, handmade craftsmanship. By embracing low-impact production methods, they bring collections that are individually crafted, ensuring each piece is unique.

The brand cherishes the age-old knowledge passed down through generations of artisans. It's not just about home décor for them; it's about keeping a rich heritage alive and celebrating the beauty of handmade uniqueness.
