Description

The Kaziria natural linen and cane armchair showcases the beauty of traditional craftmanship. This curvilinear armchair has a stunning woven cane back and an elegant mango wood frame. It has been upholstered in a light and natural linen fabric that has a tactile, slubby quality to it and its wooden arms have been padded for comfort. The Kaziria's curved cane back and generously plump seat cushion make it a luxurious and beautiful addition to your home.

Our Stylist Says

I’m a big fan of the Kaziria armchair for its light, natural weave and soft linen cushion - it instantly warms a room without feeling heavy. Its neutral tones make it a versatile choice for Scandi-inspired living spaces, relaxed coastal themes or even a laid-back boho corner. To style it, pair with a simple wooden side table and a textured throw cushion in muted greens or terracotta. A low-key floor lamp beside it will highlight the cane’s weave, while a potted plant adds a touch of fresh colour. The removable linen slipcovers are a practical bonus, making upkeep straightforward in a busy household.

About Nkuku

Established in 2003, Nkuku offers ethically sourced, handcrafted, and eco-friendly homewares and furniture. Their pieces introduce an element of rustic elegance to your space, perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The Story of Nkuku

Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.

The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.

Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.

Values and Ethical Commitment

Nkuku is not just about selling products; it's about values. They are committed to an ethical approach, partnering with independent businesses, social projects, and cooperatives. Their focus? Building transparent, strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success.

They're also environmentally conscious, incorporating natural and recycled materials into their products. From golden hemp and reclaimed mango wood to textiles recycled from old t-shirts, Nkuku champions sustainability and eco-friendly production methods.

Sustainability at Its Heart

Every Nkuku product tells a tale, capturing the essence of traditional, handmade craftsmanship. By embracing low-impact production methods, they bring collections that are individually crafted, ensuring each piece is unique.

The brand cherishes the age-old knowledge passed down through generations of artisans. It's not just about home décor for them; it's about keeping a rich heritage alive and celebrating the beauty of handmade uniqueness.
