Description

Marble makes a stylish addition to an interior and the Karoko side coffee table makes the perfect centre piece. The black marble top is crafted from solid marble. The natural marble varies from piece to piece providing each table with its own unique identity. The refined iron framework gives a striking edge and the lower section offers practical storage for magazines and books. | nkuku Karoko Marble Coffee Table | Tables | Black

Our Stylist Says

I’m a big fan of this marble-top coffee table for its blend of solidity and lightness - the slim metal frame keeps things feeling open, while the dark marble adds a touch of drama. It sits equally well in a monochrome, industrial loft or as a contrasting accent in a cosy, Scandi-inspired space. To style it, try grouping a small stack of coffee-table books on the lower shelf and adding a simple ceramic vase or tray on top to keep the look uncluttered. A leafy green plant softens the harder lines, and you can switch up accents - think brass coasters or a woven basket underneath - to suit the season or your mood.

About Nkuku

Established in 2003, Nkuku offers ethically sourced, handcrafted, and eco-friendly homewares and furniture. Their pieces introduce an element of rustic elegance to your space, perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The Story of Nkuku

Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.

The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.

Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.

Values and Ethical Commitment

Nkuku is not just about selling products; it's about values. They are committed to an ethical approach, partnering with independent businesses, social projects, and cooperatives. Their focus? Building transparent, strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success.

They're also environmentally conscious, incorporating natural and recycled materials into their products. From golden hemp and reclaimed mango wood to textiles recycled from old t-shirts, Nkuku champions sustainability and eco-friendly production methods.

Sustainability at Its Heart

Every Nkuku product tells a tale, capturing the essence of traditional, handmade craftsmanship. By embracing low-impact production methods, they bring collections that are individually crafted, ensuring each piece is unique.

The brand cherishes the age-old knowledge passed down through generations of artisans. It's not just about home décor for them; it's about keeping a rich heritage alive and celebrating the beauty of handmade uniqueness.
