Our Karaya cushions are beautifully made from wool and cotton for extra softness, with a simple line design in two complementary earthy, neutral tones, showcasing the experienced craftsmanship that goes into all our nkuku textiles. As the fabric is handwoven, there are slight variations between pieces, making each utterly unique. The sandstone and cream hues are complementary to any design scheme and will add a fresh update to a sofa or armchair. Please note, this is the outer cover only. Available in two sizes. Established in 2003, Nkuku offers ethically sourced, handcrafted, and eco-friendly homewares and furniture. Their pieces introduce an element of rustic elegance to your space, perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.
The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.
Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.
