Woven from a tactile blend of wool and cotton, this cushion cover combines relaxed neutrals with a bold blue-grey stripe for striking contrast. The soft texture and understated palette create a laid-back, grounded feel, while the defined stripe adds just the right amount of visual interest. A versatile piece for effortless layering across sofas, chairs, or beds.

Our Stylist Says

This cushion cover is a versatile piece that works beautifully in both relaxed and refined interiors. I love its natural wool and cotton blend, which adds texture and a tactile quality that elevates a neutral sofa or bed. It’s especially well-suited to interiors with a cosy, understated vibe-think earthy tones, layered textiles, and a mix of rustic and modern elements. Practical styling tips include pairing it with other textured cushions or throws for a curated, layered look, or using it as a standalone feature on a simple sofa to introduce natural warmth. Its 60 x 40 cm size makes it ideal for adding comfort without overwhelming the space, making it an understated yet impactful update for any living room or bedroom.

About Nkuku

Established in 2003, Nkuku offers ethically sourced, handcrafted, and eco-friendly homewares and furniture. Their pieces introduce an element of rustic elegance to your space, perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The Story of Nkuku

Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.

The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.

Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.

Values and Ethical Commitment

Nkuku is not just about selling products; it's about values. They are committed to an ethical approach, partnering with independent businesses, social projects, and cooperatives. Their focus? Building transparent, strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success.

They're also environmentally conscious, incorporating natural and recycled materials into their products. From golden hemp and reclaimed mango wood to textiles recycled from old t-shirts, Nkuku champions sustainability and eco-friendly production methods.

Sustainability at Its Heart

Every Nkuku product tells a tale, capturing the essence of traditional, handmade craftsmanship. By embracing low-impact production methods, they bring collections that are individually crafted, ensuring each piece is unique.

The brand cherishes the age-old knowledge passed down through generations of artisans. It's not just about home décor for them; it's about keeping a rich heritage alive and celebrating the beauty of handmade uniqueness.
