Description

Made in the UK by a family-run business, this reed diffuser features a bespoke fragrance developed exclusively for Nkuku. Woody notes of eucalyptus and fir, spiced juniper and black pepper are expertly blended to evoke the scent of winter. The vessel is finished in one of Nkuku's iconic textured styles and is designed to be reused as a small vase once the fragrance has dispersed.

Our Stylist Says

I love the nkuku Juniper & Fir reed diffuser for its understated elegance and versatility. The antique gold finish lends a touch of warmth and sophistication, making it an excellent piece for both modern and more rustic interiors. It works particularly well on sideboards, open shelves, or bathroom vanity units where it can subtly elevate the space without overpowering other décor. Practical styling tips include pairing it with natural elements like wooden trays or stone accessories to accentuate its organic feel, and placing it away from direct sunlight to preserve the finish. This piece adds a gentle, inviting scent while acting as a chic decorative accent that enhances the overall atmosphere of any room.

About Nkuku

Established in 2003, Nkuku offers ethically sourced, handcrafted, and eco-friendly homewares and furniture. Their pieces introduce an element of rustic elegance to your space, perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The Story of Nkuku

Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.

The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.

Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.

Values and Ethical Commitment

Nkuku is not just about selling products; it's about values. They are committed to an ethical approach, partnering with independent businesses, social projects, and cooperatives. Their focus? Building transparent, strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success.

They're also environmentally conscious, incorporating natural and recycled materials into their products. From golden hemp and reclaimed mango wood to textiles recycled from old t-shirts, Nkuku champions sustainability and eco-friendly production methods.

Sustainability at Its Heart

Every Nkuku product tells a tale, capturing the essence of traditional, handmade craftsmanship. By embracing low-impact production methods, they bring collections that are individually crafted, ensuring each piece is unique.

The brand cherishes the age-old knowledge passed down through generations of artisans. It's not just about home décor for them; it's about keeping a rich heritage alive and celebrating the beauty of handmade uniqueness.
