Description

The intricate wirework on display in our Jatani lampshade collections is completed by hand. The brass feels crisp and clean and the conical shape makes this a stunning focal point. Please note, light bulbs are not included. All lighting meets with CE (Conformity Europe) approval. Note that this is lampshade only, light fittings are not included.

Our Stylist Says

I love this wire lampshade for its versatile and understated appeal; the antique brass finish adds a touch of vintage charm that complements both modern and rustic interiors. Its large oval shape (41x41cm) makes it ideal for creating a focal point in living rooms or dining areas, especially when paired with a filament bulb for a warm, inviting glow. It works particularly well in boho, industrial, or eclectic spaces, but can also add character to minimalist settings. Practical styling tips include hanging it at different heights for layered lighting effects or combining it with other brass accents to create a cohesive look. Its natural, textured aesthetic pairs beautifully with woven or linen fabrics, making it a stylish yet functional choice for a variety of interior styles.

About Nkuku

Established in 2003, Nkuku offers ethically sourced, handcrafted, and eco-friendly homewares and furniture. Their pieces introduce an element of rustic elegance to your space, perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The Story of Nkuku

Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.

The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.

Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.

Values and Ethical Commitment

Nkuku is not just about selling products; it's about values. They are committed to an ethical approach, partnering with independent businesses, social projects, and cooperatives. Their focus? Building transparent, strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success.

They're also environmentally conscious, incorporating natural and recycled materials into their products. From golden hemp and reclaimed mango wood to textiles recycled from old t-shirts, Nkuku champions sustainability and eco-friendly production methods.

Sustainability at Its Heart

Every Nkuku product tells a tale, capturing the essence of traditional, handmade craftsmanship. By embracing low-impact production methods, they bring collections that are individually crafted, ensuring each piece is unique.

The brand cherishes the age-old knowledge passed down through generations of artisans. It's not just about home décor for them; it's about keeping a rich heritage alive and celebrating the beauty of handmade uniqueness.
