Description

Bring a cosy look and feel to your home with our beautifully crafted Inha vase. The combination of tonal terracotta and neutral hues creates a soft, elegant design that complements any room. The inside of the vase has a double layer of glaze, making it suitable for holding water and fresh flowers. Available in both small and large sizes, these vases can be styled alone or as a set, with or without flowers.

Our Stylist Says

The nkuku Inha vase is a versatile piece that adds texture and subtle colour to a variety of interiors. Its reactive glaze finish gives it an artisanal feel, making it ideal for adding a crafted, tactile element to both modern and rustic schemes. I love using it as a standalone decorative item on shelves or sideboards, or filling it with seasonal blooms for a fresh focal point. Its neutral tones work well in earthy, natural palettes, but it can also complement monochrome or minimal schemes by providing a touch of warmth. Practical styling tips include pairing it with other textures like wood or linen, and using different heights of vases together to create visual interest. Overall, this piece is a reliable choice for adding understated elegance to everyday spaces.

About Nkuku

Established in 2003, Nkuku offers ethically sourced, handcrafted, and eco-friendly homewares and furniture. Their pieces introduce an element of rustic elegance to your space, perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The Story of Nkuku

Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.

The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.

Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.

Values and Ethical Commitment

Nkuku is not just about selling products; it's about values. They are committed to an ethical approach, partnering with independent businesses, social projects, and cooperatives. Their focus? Building transparent, strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success.

They're also environmentally conscious, incorporating natural and recycled materials into their products. From golden hemp and reclaimed mango wood to textiles recycled from old t-shirts, Nkuku champions sustainability and eco-friendly production methods.

Sustainability at Its Heart

Every Nkuku product tells a tale, capturing the essence of traditional, handmade craftsmanship. By embracing low-impact production methods, they bring collections that are individually crafted, ensuring each piece is unique.

The brand cherishes the age-old knowledge passed down through generations of artisans. It's not just about home décor for them; it's about keeping a rich heritage alive and celebrating the beauty of handmade uniqueness.
