Description

The uniquely carved details of our Hubaen mirror adds depth and interest to a room. Hang in a hallway, living room or bedroom and feel the mood shift. The sustainable mango wood frame is finished in a beautiful rich black and the handcrafted patterning create an eye-catching design that cannot be ignored. Ideal for lifting a neutral interior or for boldly enhancing a darker scheme.

Our Stylist Says

I love this mirror for its bold yet versatile look, making it a strong statement piece without overwhelming a space. The black mango wood frame adds warmth and texture, which works particularly well in both contemporary and boho interiors. It’s ideal for placement in hallways, living rooms, or bedrooms where you need a functional yet stylish mirror to enhance wall space. For styling, consider hanging it opposite a light source or alongside other natural tones and textured accessories to create a balanced, inviting focal point. Its striking design also makes it suitable for layering with artwork or other wall art for a curated look.

About Nkuku

Established in 2003, Nkuku offers ethically sourced, handcrafted, and eco-friendly homewares and furniture. Their pieces introduce an element of rustic elegance to your space, perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The Story of Nkuku

Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.

The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.

Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.

Values and Ethical Commitment

Nkuku is not just about selling products; it's about values. They are committed to an ethical approach, partnering with independent businesses, social projects, and cooperatives. Their focus? Building transparent, strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success.

They're also environmentally conscious, incorporating natural and recycled materials into their products. From golden hemp and reclaimed mango wood to textiles recycled from old t-shirts, Nkuku champions sustainability and eco-friendly production methods.

Sustainability at Its Heart

Every Nkuku product tells a tale, capturing the essence of traditional, handmade craftsmanship. By embracing low-impact production methods, they bring collections that are individually crafted, ensuring each piece is unique.

The brand cherishes the age-old knowledge passed down through generations of artisans. It's not just about home décor for them; it's about keeping a rich heritage alive and celebrating the beauty of handmade uniqueness.
