Our new is admired not only for its warmth and effortless simplicity, but for the fact that it welcomes in a new material to the nkuku range. The Fioni design uses reclaimed wooden ceiling beams from India where they are repurposed to create unique and timeless pieces that offer the perfect foundation for an understated dining area. Sanded and lightly finished with a white wash, the mixed woods that make up this table are harmonised in appearance yet still allow for subtle variations in tone and grain to shine through. A recessed drawer with antique brass handle is the finishing touch that lends a laidback farmhouse aesthetic to the overall look of this perfectly proportioned table.

About Nkuku
The Story of Nkuku
Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.
The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.
Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.
Values and Ethical Commitment
Nkuku is not just about selling products; it's about values. They are committed to an ethical approach, partnering with independent businesses, social projects, and cooperatives. Their focus? Building transparent, strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success.
