Hand woven into a traditional herringbone pattern, our practical and durable Faiyaz rug brings a relaxed sense of comfort to any room with its soft indigo and neutral colourway. The natural variations in the individual patterning means each rug is completely unique and brings a subtle splash of colour to an interior scheme. Jute is one of our favourite natural materials at Nkuku; we love it for being completely biodegradable and recyclable, incredibly efficient to grow, and beautifully hardwearing with a soft finish. Available in two sizes. Due to the hand dying process of this product, the weaving design may differ from batch to batch

About Nkuku
The Story of Nkuku
Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.
The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.
Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.
Values and Ethical Commitment
Nkuku is not just about selling products; it's about values. They are committed to an ethical approach, partnering with independent businesses, social projects, and cooperatives. Their focus? Building transparent, strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success.
They're also environmentally conscious, incorporating natural and recycled materials into their products. From golden hemp and reclaimed mango wood to textiles recycled from old t-shirts, Nkuku champions sustainability and eco-friendly production methods.
