Description

Made from recycled glass, each Ellam vase is beautifully individual: each one is mouth blown without a mould, which leads to variations in shape and design for truly unique glassware. Group together different sizes and colours for a striking display. Style as they are or filled with seasonal stems. Available in two sizes - small and large - and two colours, clear and olive green.

Our Stylist Says

I love this small Nkuku Ellam bottle vase for its sustainable charm and versatile appeal. Its clear recycled glass design works beautifully in both modern and rustic interiors, adding a subtle touch of elegance without overpowering other elements. It’s perfect for showcasing small florals, sprigs of greenery, or even standing alone as a minimalist decor piece. For styling tips, try grouping a few around the home for visual interest or using it as a centrepiece on a table with fresh or dried flowers. Its compact size makes it ideal for adding detail to shelves, sideboards, or windowsills, making it a practical yet stylish addition to various spaces.

About Nkuku

Established in 2003, Nkuku offers ethically sourced, handcrafted, and eco-friendly homewares and furniture. Their pieces introduce an element of rustic elegance to your space, perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The Story of Nkuku

Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.

The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.

Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.

Values and Ethical Commitment

Nkuku is not just about selling products; it's about values. They are committed to an ethical approach, partnering with independent businesses, social projects, and cooperatives. Their focus? Building transparent, strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success.

They're also environmentally conscious, incorporating natural and recycled materials into their products. From golden hemp and reclaimed mango wood to textiles recycled from old t-shirts, Nkuku champions sustainability and eco-friendly production methods.

Sustainability at Its Heart

Every Nkuku product tells a tale, capturing the essence of traditional, handmade craftsmanship. By embracing low-impact production methods, they bring collections that are individually crafted, ensuring each piece is unique.

The brand cherishes the age-old knowledge passed down through generations of artisans. It's not just about home décor for them; it's about keeping a rich heritage alive and celebrating the beauty of handmade uniqueness.
