Description

nkuku Deni Sofa | Make To Order | Super Grand | Brera Linen Indigo

Our Stylist Says

This sofa is a fantastic statement piece, especially if you're aiming for a refined, modern look. I love its generous size, which makes it perfect for both lounging and entertaining, and the Brera linen in indigo adds a rich, timeless colour that pairs beautifully with neutral or layered textures. It works well in contemporary interiors, but can also elevate more traditional schemes when styled thoughtfully. Practical styling tips include balancing the bold colour with muted cushions and warm timber accents, or contrasting its sleek silhouette with cosy throws and varied textured accessories. Its make-to-order aspect means it can be tailored to fit specific space requirements, making it a versatile and stylish choice for a variety of interiors.

About Nkuku

Established in 2003, Nkuku offers ethically sourced, handcrafted, and eco-friendly homewares and furniture. Their pieces introduce an element of rustic elegance to your space, perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The Story of Nkuku

Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.

The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.

Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.

Values and Ethical Commitment

Nkuku is not just about selling products; it's about values. They are committed to an ethical approach, partnering with independent businesses, social projects, and cooperatives. Their focus? Building transparent, strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success.

They're also environmentally conscious, incorporating natural and recycled materials into their products. From golden hemp and reclaimed mango wood to textiles recycled from old t-shirts, Nkuku champions sustainability and eco-friendly production methods.

Sustainability at Its Heart

Every Nkuku product tells a tale, capturing the essence of traditional, handmade craftsmanship. By embracing low-impact production methods, they bring collections that are individually crafted, ensuring each piece is unique.

The brand cherishes the age-old knowledge passed down through generations of artisans. It's not just about home décor for them; it's about keeping a rich heritage alive and celebrating the beauty of handmade uniqueness.
