Description

The Dalat lamp brings soft sculptural form and carefully crafted character to your space. Its curvy terracotta base is hand-shaped and finished with a dry glaze, then carefully hand-washed to reveal a layered, flowing texture. Each table lamp is one of a kind, subtly varied in tone and detail, reflecting the handcrafted nature of its making.

Our Stylist Says

I really like this ceramic table lamp for its versatile, natural aesthetic. Its understated design and neutral tone make it easy to incorporate into a variety of decor styles, from boho to Scandi. It works particularly well in living rooms or bedrooms where you want to add warm, ambient lighting without overwhelming the space. For styling tips, consider pairing it with textured or organic textiles to highlight its natural look, and position it on shelves or side tables to create a cosy, inviting atmosphere. Its simplicity also makes it a great plug-in piece that can adapt to different spots as needed, adding a calm, grounded feel to any interior.

About Nkuku

Established in 2003, Nkuku offers ethically sourced, handcrafted, and eco-friendly homewares and furniture. Their pieces introduce an element of rustic elegance to your space, perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The Story of Nkuku

Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.

The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.

Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.

Values and Ethical Commitment

Nkuku is not just about selling products; it's about values. They are committed to an ethical approach, partnering with independent businesses, social projects, and cooperatives. Their focus? Building transparent, strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success.

They're also environmentally conscious, incorporating natural and recycled materials into their products. From golden hemp and reclaimed mango wood to textiles recycled from old t-shirts, Nkuku champions sustainability and eco-friendly production methods.

Sustainability at Its Heart

Every Nkuku product tells a tale, capturing the essence of traditional, handmade craftsmanship. By embracing low-impact production methods, they bring collections that are individually crafted, ensuring each piece is unique.

The brand cherishes the age-old knowledge passed down through generations of artisans. It's not just about home décor for them; it's about keeping a rich heritage alive and celebrating the beauty of handmade uniqueness.
