Description

The aged - zinc patina of these rustic vases, gives them an imperfect aesthetic and creates an ideal back drop for flowers and foliage. | nkuku Bennu Bottle Vase | Vases & Planters | Aged Zinc | 41.5 x 15 cm (Diameter)

Our Stylist Says

I love the Nkuku Bennu bottle vase for its understated elegance and versatile shape. Its tall, narrow profile makes it ideal for minimalist or contemporary interiors, especially when teamed with a simple bouquet or some dried grasses, as demonstrated in the photo. Its neutral grey tone allows it to blend seamlessly into a variety of colour schemes, from cool muted palettes to warmer, earthy tones. Practical styling tips include placing it on a side table, mantlepiece or shelf where it can be a focal point without overpowering the space. It works particularly well with natural materials and textures, adding a subtle touch of sophistication and visual interest to modern or rustic interiors alike.

About Nkuku

Established in 2003, Nkuku offers ethically sourced, handcrafted, and eco-friendly homewares and furniture. Their pieces introduce an element of rustic elegance to your space, perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The Story of Nkuku

Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.

The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.

Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.

Values and Ethical Commitment

Nkuku is not just about selling products; it's about values. They are committed to an ethical approach, partnering with independent businesses, social projects, and cooperatives. Their focus? Building transparent, strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success.

They're also environmentally conscious, incorporating natural and recycled materials into their products. From golden hemp and reclaimed mango wood to textiles recycled from old t-shirts, Nkuku champions sustainability and eco-friendly production methods.

Sustainability at Its Heart

Every Nkuku product tells a tale, capturing the essence of traditional, handmade craftsmanship. By embracing low-impact production methods, they bring collections that are individually crafted, ensuring each piece is unique.

The brand cherishes the age-old knowledge passed down through generations of artisans. It's not just about home décor for them; it's about keeping a rich heritage alive and celebrating the beauty of handmade uniqueness.
