Description

This sophisticated muted olive green is a new look for our much-loved Anesha headboard, giving this luxurious yet understated addition to a bedroom scheme a striking update. Upholstered in linen with a hand-carved mango wood surround, it transforms an existing divan into a sophisticated focal point for an instant room refresh. Floor-standing, it can easily and quickly be attached to a wall with keyhole fixings on the back of the piece and has a carved recess to allow for a skirting board.

Our Stylist Says

I love this headboard for its understated elegance and versatility. The olive green linen adds a touch of colour without overpowering a space, making it perfect for both classic and contemporary interiors. It works especially well in rooms with neutral palettes, natural textures, or wooden accents, creating a cosy, grounded feel. Practical styling tips include pairing it with crisp white bedding for a fresh look, or layering with textured throws and cushions in complementary earthy tones for added depth. It’s a great choice if you want a sophisticated yet relaxed focal point for a master bedroom.

About Nkuku

Established in 2003, Nkuku offers ethically sourced, handcrafted, and eco-friendly homewares and furniture. Their pieces introduce an element of rustic elegance to your space, perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The Story of Nkuku

Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.

The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.

Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.

Values and Ethical Commitment

Nkuku is not just about selling products; it's about values. They are committed to an ethical approach, partnering with independent businesses, social projects, and cooperatives. Their focus? Building transparent, strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success.

They're also environmentally conscious, incorporating natural and recycled materials into their products. From golden hemp and reclaimed mango wood to textiles recycled from old t-shirts, Nkuku champions sustainability and eco-friendly production methods.

Sustainability at Its Heart

Every Nkuku product tells a tale, capturing the essence of traditional, handmade craftsmanship. By embracing low-impact production methods, they bring collections that are individually crafted, ensuring each piece is unique.

The brand cherishes the age-old knowledge passed down through generations of artisans. It's not just about home décor for them; it's about keeping a rich heritage alive and celebrating the beauty of handmade uniqueness.
