Description

A refined extension of our bestselling Anbu collection, this bedside table is crafted from solid acacia wood with a rich walnut finish. The gently curved frame brings a soft, organic feel, while two drawers offer convenient storage for nighttime essentials. Elegant and functional, it pairs beautifully with the matching Anbu bed and chest of drawers for a cohesive bedroom look.

Our Stylist Says

This bedside table, made from washed walnut, offers a clean, natural finish that pairs well with both modern and rustic interiors. Its compact size makes it ideal for minimalist spaces or bedrooms that prioritise functional storage without clutter. I love how its warm tones can soften a neutral colour palette or complement other wooden accents in the room. For styling, try layering with a small lamp, a few favourite books, or decorative objects like vases or candles for a lived-in feel. Its straightforward design means it works well in scandinavian-inspired, boho, or even contemporary bedrooms, providing practical storage alongside understated style.

About Nkuku

Established in 2003, Nkuku offers ethically sourced, handcrafted, and eco-friendly homewares and furniture. Their pieces introduce an element of rustic elegance to your space, perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The Story of Nkuku

Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.

The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.

Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.

Values and Ethical Commitment

Nkuku is not just about selling products; it's about values. They are committed to an ethical approach, partnering with independent businesses, social projects, and cooperatives. Their focus? Building transparent, strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success.

They're also environmentally conscious, incorporating natural and recycled materials into their products. From golden hemp and reclaimed mango wood to textiles recycled from old t-shirts, Nkuku champions sustainability and eco-friendly production methods.

Sustainability at Its Heart

Every Nkuku product tells a tale, capturing the essence of traditional, handmade craftsmanship. By embracing low-impact production methods, they bring collections that are individually crafted, ensuring each piece is unique.

The brand cherishes the age-old knowledge passed down through generations of artisans. It's not just about home décor for them; it's about keeping a rich heritage alive and celebrating the beauty of handmade uniqueness.
