Description

Our Almora arched mirror in silver offers a refined take on a timeless design. The soft curve of the arch balances the slim sandcast aluminium frame, finished in a cool silver tone with a subtly textured surface. Ideal above a console or in a hallway to reflect light and space, it brings a calm elegance to any setting.

Our Stylist Says

The nkuku Almora wall mirror is a fantastic piece that combines simplicity with a touch of vintage charm, making it a versatile addition to many interiors. I love its antique nickel finish, which adds a subtle shine without being too flashy, and its large size makes it a practical focal point. It works particularly well in rustic or bohemian spaces, but can also inject character into modern, minimalist schemes when styled alongside natural textures or wooden furniture. For styling tips, consider placing it above a sideboard or console table, paired with neutral or earthy accessories to enhance its understated elegance. It’s also great for creating the illusion of more space in smaller rooms or hallways, making it both a practical and aesthetically pleasing choice.

About Nkuku

Established in 2003, Nkuku offers ethically sourced, handcrafted, and eco-friendly homewares and furniture. Their pieces introduce an element of rustic elegance to your space, perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The Story of Nkuku

Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.

The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.

Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.

Values and Ethical Commitment

Nkuku is not just about selling products; it's about values. They are committed to an ethical approach, partnering with independent businesses, social projects, and cooperatives. Their focus? Building transparent, strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success.

They're also environmentally conscious, incorporating natural and recycled materials into their products. From golden hemp and reclaimed mango wood to textiles recycled from old t-shirts, Nkuku champions sustainability and eco-friendly production methods.

Sustainability at Its Heart

Every Nkuku product tells a tale, capturing the essence of traditional, handmade craftsmanship. By embracing low-impact production methods, they bring collections that are individually crafted, ensuring each piece is unique.

The brand cherishes the age-old knowledge passed down through generations of artisans. It's not just about home décor for them; it's about keeping a rich heritage alive and celebrating the beauty of handmade uniqueness.
