Description

With its elegant slimline frame and warm antique brass hue, our Almora arched mirror is an eye-catching addition to your home. Crafted from lightweight cast aluminium, the frame has an imperfect textured finish which adds character and sophistication. A soft curved arch at the top of the mirror completes the look. The size of this mirror means it looks striking hung over a mantlepiece or as a statement piece in a dining room. Style with other mirrors from our Almora collection for a harmonious look.

Our Stylist Says

I’m a fan of the Almora arch mirror because its gentle curve and antique-brass finish add a subtle sculptural touch without overpowering a room. It suits a range of styles - from pared-back Scandi schemes to more traditional spaces - and the warm metal frame picks up on both cool and earthy colour palettes. For styling, hang it above a console or fireplace to reflect light and create the illusion of height. Keep surrounding décor simple: a pair of slender candles, a small vase of dried grasses or a couple of ceramic vessels will complement its shape without cluttering the look.

About Nkuku

Established in 2003, Nkuku offers ethically sourced, handcrafted, and eco-friendly homewares and furniture. Their pieces introduce an element of rustic elegance to your space, perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The Story of Nkuku

Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.

The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.

Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.

Values and Ethical Commitment

Nkuku is not just about selling products; it's about values. They are committed to an ethical approach, partnering with independent businesses, social projects, and cooperatives. Their focus? Building transparent, strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success.

They're also environmentally conscious, incorporating natural and recycled materials into their products. From golden hemp and reclaimed mango wood to textiles recycled from old t-shirts, Nkuku champions sustainability and eco-friendly production methods.

Sustainability at Its Heart

Every Nkuku product tells a tale, capturing the essence of traditional, handmade craftsmanship. By embracing low-impact production methods, they bring collections that are individually crafted, ensuring each piece is unique.

The brand cherishes the age-old knowledge passed down through generations of artisans. It's not just about home décor for them; it's about keeping a rich heritage alive and celebrating the beauty of handmade uniqueness.
