Between labour and humility, the Niwaki lamp is orga(mech)anic. The Brichet Ziegler studio created this light with mastery and precision. They're inspired by Niwaki, the traditional Japanese art consisting of sculpting a tree planted outdoors in order to recreate the various landscapes admired in nature, all in the garden. Evoking an artificial plant, Niwaki presents fluid and organic forms. The wide lampshade looks as though it has been carved by the wind and the elements. Tilting forward, it appears to float and glide in the air, like a branch weighed down with its foliage. The finishes of the Niwaki lamp reflect the balance between industry and craftsmanship. Niwaki evokes the technique, the poetry and the precision of the production process. At DCW Éditions, Niwaki is nicknamed the "Brigitte lamp", as it lights the office of the Elysée!
