Elementary movements… Highly poetic, nh is a light, mobile pendant developed by the Chinese studio Neri&Hu. This lamp pays tribute to oriental culture and tradition, while retaining a contemporary approach. This ethereal pendant consists of three white glass globes of different diameters, topped with brushed brass rings in the form of stylised carabiners. These brass rings allow the globes to hang freely on the black metal structure. The light globes can therefore be placed wherever you want and can slide along the structure offering a multitude of possible configurations. As such, you can direct the light very easily to create different kinds of lighting. The mobility of Nh reminds us of the use of lanterns. With nh, designers Neri&Hu continue their research on the dynamic interaction between experience, detail, material, form and light. Nh presents a complex and ethereal, balanced and mobile geometric construction combining curved and linear elements. The different-sized spheres, positioned at different heights, define a modular landscape, a non-static composition made of colours and materiality. The black cables, deliberately very present, draw apparently chaotic, disordered lines: “It’s an immediate reminder of the common experience of trying to unravel and resolve a network of wires”, explains Rossana Hu.
