Part of our Home Office Collection, our Newport Computer Desk is just 80cm wide, so it has a neat and sleek modern, compact design. It has a no-nonsense simple silhouette that will look discreet wherever you put it under the stairs, in the corner of a dining room, or in a box room. It gives you plenty of room on the top for your laptop or PC, plus room to spread out your documents and paperwork. Underneath is an extendable keyboard tray.

I’m a fan of this sleek space-saving desk for its clean lines and compact footprint, which make it ideal in tight corners or shared living rooms. The matt black finish works equally well in minimalist Scandi schemes, industrial lofts or modern monochrome settings, while the slide-out keyboard tray keeps your desktop clutter-free.
To style it, position a slim LED task lamp and a small potted plant on one side, then tuck away cables using adhesive clips underneath. Pair with a simple upholstered office chair and a floating shelf overhead for notebooks or display items - it instantly feels like a purposeful, well-appointed nook.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
