Our Stylist Says
The grey vintage velvet sofa is an excellent anchor piece for both traditional and contemporary interiors. I love its timeless appeal and plush texture, which instantly elevates a space while adding comfort. It works particularly well in rooms with a classic colour palette or muted tones, but can also act as a statement piece when paired with bold cushions or artwork. Practical styling tips include layering with contrasting textures like linen or boucle, and adding decorative cushions for a personalised touch. To keep it looking its best, consider near-invisible stain protectors, as velvet can be luxurious but somewhat delicate. This sofa is versatile enough to work in living rooms, sitting areas, or even a stylish home office, making it a real investment piece.

About Graham & Green
The Inception of a Lifestyle Brand
In 1974, Antonia started Graham & Green after a trip to India. She wanted to be independent and worked with traders from different countries. This led her to create the UK's first 'lifestyle' brand, bringing unique home items from places like India, Morocco, and Europe.
The first Graham & Green store opened in Notting Hill in 1974, showcasing Antonia's special collection of items from around the world. You can still visit this original store on Elgin Crescent today.
Evolution through Generations
Graham & Green has a rich history full of important moments. In 1980, they started creating hand-drawn mail-order catalogues to share their store's charm with more people.
They opened a new store in Primrose Hill in 1994, reflecting the brand's playful and free nature.
Antonia's son, Jamie, took a creative lead in 1998. Having studied at Kingston University, he began designing unique furniture collections, shifting Graham & Green from not only importing items but also creating them.
Then, in 1999, Graham & Green launched their first website, allowing people all across the UK to shop their collections online.
Milestones and Memories
Over time, Graham & Green has marked its journey with special products, like unique Birthday items with lovebird designs. After Antonia led the brand for 37 years, Jamie and Lou took over, pushing Graham & Green to grow even more.
They opened big stores in Bayswater and Bath in 2016. By 2018, Graham & Green updated their website to keep it modern and stylish for their customers.
