Its slim metal frame and slatted shelves suit both contemporary patios and laid-back country terraces. To style it, load the lower shelf with terracotta pots or a small basket of throw blankets, then top with a set of stoneware tumblers and a tray of herbs in mismatched pots. The castors mean you can wheel it from corner to corner, so it’s ideal for impromptu garden get-togethers or simply coralling bits and pieces when you want a tidier outdoor space.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth.
