Designed to emulate iconic chandeliers from five of the world's most distinguished concert halls and theatres, the Neverending Glory Bolshoi lighting collection has been updated to include this beautifully formed mini version of its grander sibling designs, exclusively available at The Conran Shop. The work of design duo Jan Plecháč and Henry Wielgus, the sophisticated mini collection was created for prestigious Czech lighting manufacturers, Lasvit, and showcases the designers’ free-spirited creativity and imaginative innovation. Hand-blown by artisanal craftsmen, the mini Bolshoi Theatre pendant has a fluid silhouette, inspired by the opulent central chandelier of its namesake, available in clear, iridescent, opal and smoked glass to accent any space. To create the design Plecháč and Wielgus have distilled the ornate crystal and gold chandelier muse down to a contemporary glass interpretation. By rotating an outline of the chandelier, the designers formed this fluid, captivating pendant that ripples back and forth, appearing continually in motion yet ephemerally still all at once. Employing precision skill and the finest traditions and techniques, Jan Plecháč and Henry Wielgus have interpreted the nostalgia of Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow in this opulent, modern, mini pendant light.
