I’m a big fan of these oak nest tables for their clean lines and mix of warm timber with slim black metal frames - they slot seamlessly into Scandinavian, minimalist or urban-industrial schemes. The smaller tables tuck away neatly when you need floor space, then pull out as extra surfaces for drinks, reading material or a laptop when you’re entertaining or working from the sofa.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores".
