Description

Retro lighting for your home décor with the Nera Cross Arm Semi Flush Ceiling Light. This ceiling fixture comes in a satin brass finish and features opal glass shades which diffuse a gorgeous warm glow into the room. It also comes IP44 rated to ensure that it is safe for bathroom installation, and is ideal for low ceilings thanks to the contemporary semi flush design.

Our Stylist Says

I love how this ceiling light brings a blend of modern elegance and functional design, especially with its satin brass finish that works beautifully in both contemporary and vintage-inspired bathrooms. Its semi-flush profile makes it ideal for spaces with lower ceilings, providing ample illumination without overpowering the room. For styling, consider pairing it with minimalistic or mid-century furniture to enhance its chic simplicity, and keep surrounding fixtures and accessories in neutral tones or warm woods to create a cohesive look. Practical tips include installing it centrally for balanced light distribution and using dimmable bulbs to adjust ambiance for different times of day. Overall, it’s a versatile piece that adds a touch of sophistication while remaining straightforward and practical.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
