I’m fond of how this 3-drawer pine desk combines natural oak tones with soft pink fronts - it brings a hint of colour without overwhelming the room. It suits Scandinavian, contemporary or even a child’s workspace, pairing neatly with neutral walls and pale wood or white furniture.
To style it, keep the desktop clear except for a slim desk lamp and a small plant or pen pot. Stash clutter in the drawers and add a simple print or corkboard above for notes. A light-wood or white ergonomic chair and a woven basket beside it will complete a fresh, organised look.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth.
