Philippe Starck tirelessly modifies everyday life, exalting the deepest roots of existence in his changes. He applies himself to the design of ashtrays, lamps, handles, cutlery, candleholders, teapots, vases, watches, scooters, mopeds, desks, beds, taps, baths. In short, life. His increasing fascination with life has now led him to create clothes, underwear, footwear, glasses, food, and always with the conviction that his design respects nature and the future of humankind. In the exhibits of museums all around the world, in Paris, New York, Munich, London, Chicago, Kyoto and Barcelona, his work is considered to be that of a master. He has received numerous prizes and awards: designer of the year, the Oscar de luminaire (1980), the title of Officier des Artes et des Lettres (1985), the Grand Prix National de la Création Industrielle (1988), Compasso d'Oro ADI (2001), Show Boats in Munich (2003), and many others. Philippe Starck began his collaboration with Driade in 1985.
I love the Neoz rectangular table for its sleek, functional design that works well in both modern and traditional interiors. Its natural wood top adds warmth and texture, making it an adaptable piece that can be dressed up with contemporary chairs or left pared-back for a minimalist look. It's perfect for creating a versatile dining space-ideal for family meals or entertaining-while its practical size suits both smaller and larger rooms. For styling tips, consider pairing it with statement lighting overhead and simple tableware to highlight the natural finish, or add soft textiles and vases to bring a cosy, lived-in feel.
