Our Stylist Says
I love this sleek midnight blue dining chair for its plush velvet finish and subtle studded detailing, which instantly elevates any dining space. It works particularly well in modern or contemporary interiors, especially when paired with minimalist or neutral-toned tables to let the rich colour stand out. For styling, consider combining it with light wood or marble surfaces for contrast, and add complementary cushions in metallic or jewel-tone fabrics to create a sophisticated look. Practical tips include keeping the surrounding décor simple to showcase the chair’s elegant design, and using protective pads on the legs if you have sensitive flooring. It’s a versatile piece that brings a touch of luxe without feeling overdone.

Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
More Than Just Stores
You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
