Description
German designer Bernhard Osann created the Neo floor lamp from a simple black aluminium rod, bent in a delicate movement. Awarded the “Wallpaper Design Awards 2020”, this incredible light challenges us with its slim, clean, graphic silhouette which resembles a pencil line in space. This floor lamp simply stands against a wall. The rod is bent in two places to keep it stable and still. In addition, silicone tips at the bottom of the leg and wall supports increase its stability. Its lightness and simple shape mean the Neo floor lamp can be easily moved. You can simply lean Neo against a wall or fix it with two fasteners included. The rod is articulated in the upper part which contains the LED light source: it can be rotated and oriented, creating different light effects. You can thus choose between direct or indirect lighting. With its elemental shape, this floor lamp highlights the essential: the light itself. It offers diffused, homogeneous lighting. A true luminous centrepiece, the Neo floor lamp has strong decorative value. Its sober, refined look will modernise any interior. Bernhard Osann: "I was working on a classic floor lamp and had some issues with the base… I got a little irate and broke it! Neo is a floor lamp without a base or shade. I was inspired by the sculptural, kinetic look of articulated arms. A radical simplification highlights this aesthetic. As the joints work without visible cables, the Neo floor lamp is reduced to a few precise lines. The result is a graphic, timeless lamp characterised by its flexibility. ".
