Description
The designer Xavier Solé introduces alabaster into the world of modern design. Robust although delicate and sophisticated, the Neil pendant showcases wonderful work on the material. The lampshade is made of a single piece of alabaster: The stone is delicately worked with finesse in order to obtain a spherical form that is very thin. When the light is switched on, the lampshade becomes slightly translucent and lights up, highlighting the delicate veins. This material effect creates a wonderful contrast of light and shade on the lampshade. Neil translates the vibratory richness of alabaster, a stone with multiple light and pattern variations. The alabaster gives off a delicate and vivid light, inviting contemplation.
