Description

It may interest you to know that Jute was once the fibre of choice for rope on boats. This is because their inherent durability lends to a product that is extremely tough thus long lasting. Unlike industrial standard rope, our jute doormats are hand Woven and expertly crafted for a soft and cushiony feel. Furthermore, all jute products are made entirely from natural jute fibre, making them both environmentally friendly and biodegradable. This means you can trust in our products to make those all-important finish touches to you home while doing your bit to save the planet.

Our Stylist Says

I love this coir mat for its durable, natural aesthetic and classic stripe design, making it versatile enough to suit both traditional and modern schemes. It works particularly well in entrance areas that lean towards earthy or neutral palettes, adding warmth and texture underfoot. Practical styling tips include pairing it with wooden or terracotta door surrounds to enhance its natural vibe, and placing a stylish basket or greenery nearby to create an inviting entryway. Its neutral brown colour makes it an easy addition to most exteriors, while its durable coir material ensures it maintains its look even through the busy autumn and winter months.

About The Range

Founded in 1989, The Range is the fastest growing retailer in the UK with an extensive selection to cater to a variety of styles and budgets. The Range provides affordable and quality products to enhance your living space.

Humble Beginnings

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.

Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.

A Visionary Leader

Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.

Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.

More Than Just Stores

You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
