Price History
Description
This natural jute rug adds warmth and texture to a room, and it's a size that fits almost anywhere. At 80 x 150cm, it works in bedrooms, studies and smaller living spaces. Lay it on its own, or layer it over a larger floor covering. It's handwoven in India on a traditional handloom, using 100% natural jute. Jute is a hard-wearing fibre, so the rug stands up well to everyday use. The 10mm pile has a firm, textured feel underfoot, and sits low enough not to catch on doors. The natural tones suit most colour schemes, from modern to traditional, and it's fade-resistant for high-traffic areas. Your rug arrives rolled and ready to lay flat. It's for indoor use, and we'd suggest a non-slip underlay on smooth floors. Please Note: For indoor use only. As a natural, handwoven product, slight variations in colour, texture and size are normal and part of the rug's character. A faint earthy scent and minor edge curl are normal on arrival and settle within a few days. There's no integral non-slip backing, so we'd recommend a rug underlay on smooth floors. Vacuum without a beater bar or rotating brush; spot clean with a dry cloth. Features:Tactile handwoven texture that adds warmth and depth to any room. About The Range
Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
More Than Just Stores
You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
