Description

Step inside "The Wrong Shop" art gallery: a sharp selection of exclusive posters that will appeal to fans of graphic and visual arts! Created by English designer Sebastian Wrong, the brand publishes drawings and prints by influential artists, designers and architects. These exceptional-quality limited, numbered edition prints are truly unique and affordable works of art. Nathalie Du Pasquier herself defines her posters March 1936 and March 1937 as "science fiction in an old armchair". These posters feature abstract geometric shapes combined with bold, distinctive hues. “What’s interesting for me is the strangeness of a form that exists but that we don’t recognise, whether painted or reproduced in three dimensions. ” Nathalie du Pasquier is a painter, graphic artist and designer. In the 1980s, this famous visual artist was one of the founding members of the Memphis group, which formed around the iconic Ettore Sottsas. During these years, she designed numerous textiles, rugs, objects and items of furniture, as well as motifs for the furniture of other designers in the group. From her travels in Africa and Asia, which she undertook at the end of the 1970s, this striking style resulted which would permeate the Memphis creations. When the group dissolved in 1987, she returned to her first medium, painting. We immediately recognise Nathalie Du Pasquier's style: an explosive, harmonious mix of exuberant patterns and vibrant colours. A world that evokes travel, African waxes with a quirky rock touch.

Our Stylist Says

I love this Nathalie du Pasquier - Mars 1937 print for its bold, graphic style that instantly enlivens a space. It works particularly well in modern or eclectic interiors, adding a pop of colour and visual interest without overwhelming the room. Placing it above a neutral sofa or alongside other geometric or abstract pieces can create a curated, artful vibe. Practical styling tips include keeping framing simple to let the artwork stand out, and pairing it with minimal furniture to highlight its playful, structured design. Its limited, numbered edition also makes it a fantastic statement piece for collectors or those wanting unique artwork that feels both contemporary and timeless.
