Description

Create a colourful gallery wall of abstract prints with this set of six by artist Natasha Barnes. Framed with mounts and ready to wall hang in a room or hallway, there are six different abstract prints in a similar artistic style. Natasha Barnes is a self-taught fine artist from South Africa. Her natural talent and pure passion for painting have led Natasha to develop a profound style reflective of expressionism. The artist's dynamic marriage of colour and texture, created via sophisticated mark making, evokes a sense of fluidity, movement and a sense of a ‘journey' in every piece. Natasha paints in water-based mediums and her inspirations often stem from her travels. Earthy tones reflect her South African roots and application is thick and sometimes textured. Her subject dictates the flow of the paint and forms take on an element of the unreal, moving into the world of abstraction. Have you thought about hooks and fittings?

Our Stylist Says

I love this set of six painterly prints for their versatility and impact. They work particularly well in contemporary or modern interiors, adding colour and texture without overwhelming the space. The varying abstract patterns make them ideal for creating a focal point in a lounge or hallway, or even in a bedroom for a subtle yet stylish touch. Practical styling tips include grouping them over a sofa, console, or bed to create a balanced look, and pairing them with minimalist frames to keep the focus on the artwork itself. Because they’re multi-sized and framed, they’re flexible enough to fit different wall dimensions, making them a smart addition to a gallery wall or standalone feature.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
