Description

The ribbed leather finish of this stylish Narwana stool adds subtle decorative detail whilst the padded seat offers comfort. The well-designed mix of iron and tactile leather work stylishly together. This smaller stool slots neatly under a dining table or desk.

Our Stylist Says

I love this ribbed leather stool because it adds texture and warmth, making it a versatile piece in both relaxed and contemporary interiors. It works particularly well in industrial, rustic, or boho spaces, where its understated elegance complements natural materials and muted colour schemes. For styling, consider pairing it with neutral-toned beds or using it as a bedside seating option in a cosy bedroom. Keeping accessories minimal will let its leather detail stand out, while integrating similar warm tones elsewhere in the room helps create a cohesive look. Its simplicity also makes it adaptable for use as extra seating in living areas or even in hallway settings, offering both function and style.

About Nkuku

Established in 2003, Nkuku offers ethically sourced, handcrafted, and eco-friendly homewares and furniture. Their pieces introduce an element of rustic elegance to your space, perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The Story of Nkuku

Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.

The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.

Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.

Values and Ethical Commitment

Nkuku is not just about selling products; it's about values. They are committed to an ethical approach, partnering with independent businesses, social projects, and cooperatives. Their focus? Building transparent, strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success.

They're also environmentally conscious, incorporating natural and recycled materials into their products. From golden hemp and reclaimed mango wood to textiles recycled from old t-shirts, Nkuku champions sustainability and eco-friendly production methods.

Sustainability at Its Heart

Every Nkuku product tells a tale, capturing the essence of traditional, handmade craftsmanship. By embracing low-impact production methods, they bring collections that are individually crafted, ensuring each piece is unique.

The brand cherishes the age-old knowledge passed down through generations of artisans. It's not just about home décor for them; it's about keeping a rich heritage alive and celebrating the beauty of handmade uniqueness.
