Price History

Description

Narrow tv unit retro style handcrafted in solid wood from our own family workshop. The top of the stand has been finished in a medium oak wax and has rounded ends to the narrow stand giving it a retro-style finish, whilst the base has also been handmade using 25 x 25 box steel which has been painted in Black enamel but left showing all the welds for the industrial look. The legs have been finished with plastic furniture caps to the base to protect hard floors.

Our Stylist Says

I’m a fan of this narrow retro TV unit because its medium oak finish and slim black frame bring a mid-century touch without overwhelming a small space. It sits neatly against a plain or lightly textured wall and works well in Scandi, industrial or pared-back contemporary living rooms. To style it, keep the top surface clear around your screen and use a low, horizontal object - such as a soundbar or a long planter - to echo the unit’s shape. Tuck cables into the open shelf below and use woven baskets or fabric bins to keep remotes, games and chargers organised. Finish with a trailing plant or two ceramic vases in muted tones for a balanced, lived-in look.

About The Range

Founded in 1989, The Range is the fastest growing retailer in the UK with an extensive selection to cater to a variety of styles and budgets. The Range provides affordable and quality products to enhance your living space.

Humble Beginnings

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.

Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.

A Visionary Leader

Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.

Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.

More Than Just Stores

You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
