Description

Named for the island of Naoshima, known for its art musuems, this stylish handmade design is a modern take on the traditional ceramic ginger jar lamp; the unusual square base and navy glaze lends itself to both contemporary homes and traditional country houses. The green-toned glaze has a lovely drip effect that is distinctive on each piece, so no two are the same. When the lamp is lit, the light picks up on the unique qualities of each finished item.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Naoshima lamp for its striking ceramic base that showcases a beautiful shade of Chinese green, adding a touch of colour without overpowering a space. It works particularly well in eclectic or Boho interiors, where the textured glaze can be highlighted alongside natural materials like wood or linen. For practical styling, consider pairing it with neutral or earthy tones to let the green pop, or place it on a side table in a reading nook to create an inviting atmosphere. Its bold yet refined look makes it versatile - ideal for decorating bedside tables, console units, or areas where you want a subtle statement piece.
