Description

The Naoko natural left-arm 3 seater sofa is a unique design that encourages complete relaxation and comfort. With oversized cushions in complementary natural tonal colours, the Naoko sofa range is as inviting to look at as they are to sit on. Designed by Naoko Kanehira for Habitat, the Naoko range is essentially a stack of sumptuous cushions with legs attached. With its single arm, the range is a play on scale and proportion. Graceful, playful and functional, this design brings the Japanese way of sitting on cushions up from the floor in line with European living. Designed in-house and available in various colours, sizes.

Our Stylist Says

The Naoko natural sofa is a stylish choice for creating a relaxed and inviting living space. Its neutral palette makes it incredibly versatile, working well in both modern and Scandi-inspired interiors. I love pairing it with textured cushions and throws in earthy or muted tones to add warmth and dimension. Its simple yet slightly tapered wooden legs bring a lightness that suits smaller rooms or spaces where a clean, uncluttered look is desired. To maximise its appeal, consider styling with a cosy rug underneath and a mix of contemporary and vintage accessories to achieve a balanced, welcoming vibe.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
