Description
Environmentally-friendly, this chair made with recycled plastic proves that you can give waste a second life, repurposing it and using it to create a new object that is stunning, useful and durable. The Nami's moulded plastic shell is made using plastic household waste (post-consumption) collected in Denmark. This shell is made in Denmark and contains 97% Danish plastic household waste and 3% colour pigments. The elegant curve of the shell evokes images of a wave unrolling on the beach, emphasising the organic expression of this elegant chair. This stackable chair is weather-resistant, and so is suited to both indoor and outdoor use. It has a water drainage hole in the seat. The structure is made from powder-coated steel with an anti-corrosion treatment. Design studio HANS THYGE & CO: "We've stopped looking at waste as a problem and started looking at it as the resource that it is. We've created a chair with a shell made from Danish plastic household waste. ".
