The Nadia natural handwoven rattan kingsize bed combines rattan stems in different thicknesses for a light, airy design with a distinctive shape. Designed in house by Matt Long, the bed banishes all thoughts of traditional 70s rattan designs with a headboard and footboard that wrap around the edge of the mattress. Also available as a double bed, the bed frame is formed and constructed in Indonesia by skilled craftsmen, who steam the rattan stems to make them pliable before shaping them around moulds. The bed is part of the Nadia bedroom furniture range, which lends itself both as inspiration for a tropical scheme or as a textural foil to a sumptuous luxe décor.
I love the Nadia natural handwoven rattan bed frame for its effortlessly relaxed and timeless appeal. It works really well in boho, coastal, or Scandinavian interiors, adding warmth and texture without feeling heavy. For styling, pair it with neutral-toned bedding, layered with tactile throws and cushions in natural fibres or soft hues to enhance its organic vibe. Practical tips include using a low-profile headboard to keep the space feeling airy, and incorporating wall-mounted lighting or bedside tables that complement the rattan's natural finish. This piece is versatile, so it looks equally chic with crisp linen sheets or more layered, boho-inspired textiles.
